Working for sustainable development and organizational change.

Welcome to OpenCities Ltd. We are a strategic management consultancy specializing in sustainable development and organizational change. We help organizations tackling the world's greatest challenges at the nexus of environment and development including climate change, poverty reduction and equality, biodiversity.

We began in 2006 and have worked with organizations across the private, public and social sectors both in the UK and internationally. Our clients have included international development agencies, governments, British and European corporates, local authorities, local business organizations and many others.

We notice connections that others miss – between cities and the rural space; in the shipping and other trading links that tie countries together; and between the environment, the social, the economic, the scientific, the political and the cultural.

With our wide network of associates, we have deep cross-cutting and sectoral expertise as well as breadth of geographical reach. We are passionate about taking on big challenges that matter to our clients and, sometimes, whole populations. Particular areas of expertise include: climate change, cities, oceans, food loss and waste and others.
